AREA is proud to announce that the Romanian F-GAS Association was welcomed as member during the annual General Assembly meeting in Belfast on 24 May.

Founded in November last year, the FGAS Companies Association of Romania brings together professionals and companies from the fluorinated gases industry to promote sustainability and innovation in the sector. Among our main objectives are advancing education and professional training, actively participating in the drafting of HFC legislation in accordance with European regulations, and facilitating effective collaboration with the Romanian Customs Authority. We are committed to shaping a responsible and sustainable future for the industry.

Amalia Păvălucă, President of the Romanian association, said:

“Joining AREA allows us to collaborate more closely with leading organisations and to leverage collective expertise to advance industry standards. We are eager to contribute to and learn from this vibrant community as we work together towards a greener future. This marks a significant milestone in our journey towards promoting sustainable practices within the FGAS industry across Europe.”

AREA now counts 25 member associations from 23 countries, including 20 out of the 27 EU Member States.
