AREA's priorities

  • to act primarily in the European context,
  • to support and to initiate activities to promote the industry and its high standards of quality, in order to serve the users' interest in the safe and uninterrupted usage of efficient refrigeration and air conditioning equipment,
  • to help reach a minimum level of vocational education and training across Europe,
  • to establish a European certification scheme for RAC contractors,
  • to monitor from the very  start and to influence European regulations on behalf of members,
  • to participate in the discussion on environmental issues, accepting only changes preserving quality, safety, reliability and energy efficiency,
  • to keep up with European technical standardisation and technological change in order to properly inform the members,
  • to remain an efficient and financially sound European association, representing the installation side of the refrigeration and air conditioning sectors,
  • to help improve and promote the image of the profession to the young community,
  • to defend the interests of the SMEs which are a majority of the members of our Member Associations.
